2016 Mercedes-Benz Best of the Best Award
Mercedes-Benz of Jackson Honored as Best of the Best Dealership
JACKSON, MS (March 28, 2017) – Mercedes-Benz of Jackson has been recognized by the luxury automobile brand as a Best of the Best for 2016, placing it among the upper echelon of Mercedes-Benz dealerships nationally.
The Best of the Best Program recognizes dealers based on exemplary performance in sales, service and parts as well as excellence in operations and customer experience. The top 15 percent of dealers nationally earned Best of the Best honors.
Higginbotham Automobiles – which owns Mercedes-Benz of Jackson – achieved a rare trifecta as its Mercedes-Benz of Collierville (near Memphis) and Mercedes-Benz of Myrtle Beach in South Carolina also were selected Best of the Best.
“Our overriding priority is to deliver the ultimate customer experience when someone enters our dealership, whether that is for a vehicle purchase or for a maintenance or service visit,” said Trudy Higginbotham-Moody, co-owner and president of Mercedes-Benz of Jackson. “Being honored as Best of the Best is an indication that we are successfully meeting our goal in providing exceptional service at a more-than-competitive price, and it speaks volumes about our sales and maintenance associates at Mercedes-Benz of Jackson.
“Our employees can take pride in this honor for a job well done and realize they are truly among the best in the country. The fact that all three dealerships were honored as Best of the Best is especially gratifying.”
The Higginbotham family purchased the Mercedes Benz of Jackson and the Porsche of Jackson dealerships in 2001 and Higginbotham-Moody was placed in charge of day-to-day operations. Under her leadership the local dealerships have received numerous recognitions – including being named one of the 20 Best Mercedes-Benz Dealerships to Work For in 2016.
The company in 2016 announced that it would build a new dealership to meet increased consumer demand. Construction has begun on the new location at the corner of Steed Road and I-55 in Ridgeland. The 70,000-square foot, two-story facility will include an enlarged showroom and 44 service bays – more than double the operations at our current location. The 10-acre site – just minutes away from its current address – will provide customers a larger selection of vehicles.
“The new modern facility, expanded showroom and increased service bays will allow us to continue providing an experience our customers expect and deserve,” said Higginbotham-Moody. “Mercedes-Benz of Jackson had built a reputation of exceptional service, and we believe this investment will allow us to take that to another level.”
The new location is expected to open in fourth quarter 2017. The company’s Porsche dealership will remain at I-55 in Jackson.
